Drawing on Honda’s championship-winning CRF motocross heritage, this lightweight dirt bike combines advanced engine design with specialized suspension components and a track-oriented chassis for competitive riding on motocross circuits.
The CRF150R features a 149.7 cc liquid-cooled, single-cylinder, four-stroke engine equipped with Honda’s Unicam SOHC valve train and four valves per cylinder. A 32 mm Keihin flat-slide carburetor with Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) and an accelerator pump is designed to provide responsive throttle control and strong power delivery throughout the rev range. The close-ratio five-speed manual transmission and multiplate wet clutch support precise gear selection, while the chain final drive transfers power efficiently to the rear wheel.
A lightweight, high-tensile steel frame provides the foundation for agile handling and straight-line stability. The 37 mm inverted Showa cartridge front fork offers 10.8 inches of suspension travel, while the Pro-Link rear suspension features a fully adjustable Showa single shock designed to improve bump absorption and traction across demanding track conditions. Hydraulic disc brakes, including a 220 mm front disc and a 190 mm rear disc, provide controlled stopping performance. The standard model’s 17-inch front wheel and 14-inch rear wheel contribute to its compact dimensions and rider-focused ergonomics.
